Objectives

APSIPA ASC 2026 invites proposals for Perspective Panels (PP) - visionary, interactive sessions that explore emerging directions, critical debates, and future-shaping ideas in signal and information processing.

Guidelines

Your proposal should include:

  1. Title of the proposed Perspective Panel.
  2. Organizers: name, affiliation, email, and biography.
  3. Abstract: motivation, how it advances APSIPA ASC 2026 related topics, key issues to be addressed.
  4. Target Audience: researchers, industry, students, policymakers, etc.
  5. Keywords: Keywords listing the main topics covered.
  6. List of Panelists: name, affiliation, email, biography, and role in the panel.

Evaluation criteria

Panels will be evaluated based on their thematic relevance to APSIPA ASC 2026, their focus and novelty, the potential interest and excitement they may generate, the credentials of their organizers, and the proposal completeness in terms of the provided information.

Format & Duration

Each Perspective Panel will be 90 minutes and typically include:

  • Moderator.
  • About 4–5 panelists from academia, industry, government, or interdisciplinary fields.
  • Audience Q&A and interactive discussion.

Topics of Interest

Panel proposals may address, including but not limited to these topics:

  • Foundation Models for Signal Processing (Signal Foundation Models).
  • Multimodal Signal Processing with LLMs.
  • Neuro-Symbolic Signal Processing.
  • Signal Processing for Integrated Sensing, Communication, and Localization with Innovative Antenna Concepts.
  • Generative Signal Processing (Diffusion & LLM-driven).
  • Edge AI & Efficient Signal Models (TinyML + LLM Offloading).
  • Quantum Machine Learning Algorithms and Applications on Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) devices.
  • Trustworthy & Explainable AI for Signal Processing.

Important Dates

Initial proposal submission: February 25, 2026
Notification of proposal acceptance: March 1, 2026
Detailed program submission: April 1, 2026
Perspective paper submission: April 25, 2026
Notification of paper acceptance: June 1, 2026
Camera-ready paper submission: June 15, 2026
Registration: June 15, 2026
PP Paper presentation: November 9–12, 2026

Organizational Support and Policies

For accepted PP proposals, the APSIPA ASC 2026 will provide the following support:

  • Dedicated session at the conference venue.
  • Basic audiovisual facilities consistent with conference standards.
  • Coffee/tea breaks in accordance with the PP session.

Please note that the conference does not cover honoraria, travel expenses, accommodation, and registration for panel organizers and panelists. PP organizers are responsible for coordinating their panelists' participation and ensuring their availability for the panel.
